Physical constants as
dimensional equilibria

15 constants, ratios and limits through the ISI v5.0 framework. Every constant is the 1-equilibrium state in its own dimension — unreachable from below and above alike. What we measure is the projection of the deviation from equilibrium.

An ISI postulate: every constant is 1 in its own dimension

On this postulate every fundamental physical constant (κᵢ) is the equilibrium state of a dimension Dᵢ. In its own dimension κᵢ = 1. What we measure, projected into our singularity-fractured space, shows a different value.

The 1 as attractor

Every singularity converges toward the 1-equilibrium — from below (d_H < 1) it merges and rises to a higher order, from above (d_H > 1) it disintegrates. The 1 is an unstable equilibrium: an attractor, but never stably reachable.

Constants in their own dimension are not ∞ but 1 — this is the equilibrium state. The attempt to reach it diverges (from below 0, from above ∞), but the equilibrium itself is unity. Consistent with the ISI timeless base state: where d_H=1 in every dimension, every constant = 1.

Base state: = 1. No curvature → circumference/diameter = 1. Current value π ≈ 3.14159 is the curvature imprint of singularities.

Euler identity — ISI interpretation
On the ISI reading, π, e and i are all measures of deviation from 1 in different dimension types, and read together they give the mirror of equilibrium (1). The equation has been known since Euler 1748; ISI attaches an illustrative interpretation to that result — it does not derive why the answer is −1. |e^(iθ)| = 1 holds for every θ, a general property of the unit circle rather than ISI evidence.

Two labels on every entry. The grey one gives the physical domain, the gold one the kind of quantity: since the 2019 SI revision several values are fixed by definition (assigned rather than measured), others are derived, dimensionless ratios, empirical relations, mathematical concepts, or ISI's own constructs. The list is therefore not sixteen fundamental constants but fifteen quantities of different kinds, gathered under one question by this framework. — The equilibrium gap is an illustrative indicator: it shows how far, on the ISI reading, a quantity sits from the 1-equilibrium of its own dimension. No formula or measurement stands behind it; it is for comparison, not for citation. — The dashed label states what kind of claim attaches to the entry within ISI: established relation (physics states it, ISI only places it), ISI interpretation (a reading of the framework, not evidence), derivation target (what the framework wants to explain but cannot yet), testable prediction (where it can be refuted), speculative extension (a concept outside the core).
